Erika ladoucer

Erika is a community-oriented leader and Canada Millennium Scholar. She is strongly committed to equity, diversity, and inclusive access to scientific knowledge to empower everyone to make informed health decisions.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Erika brings a unique combination of business and research experience to the team. She leveraged her bilingual and leadership skills to mentor over 50 diverse students through SCIFAA’s science communication, summer internship program. She has equally demonstrated these skills throughout her time working with elementary students in a resource teaching capacity. Erika’s 15 years of experience coaching youth and adults in recreational or high performance sports, underscored the importance of language and teaching method adaptability. Lastly, as Research Assistant at the University of Alberta, Erika led recruitment efforts across Canada for indigenous and vulnerable populations, developed and led online programs, and assisted with reporting and transfer of information post intervention.
